Two Army HH-60 Black Hawk helicopters collided in Kentucky on Wednesday night, resulting in a deadly crash. The collision occurred during a routine training exercise, resulting in the deaths of everyone on both helicopters. Kentucky State Police, military investigators, and several other agencies were on the scene of the crash, which occurred around 10:00 p.m. near Fort Campbell, KY. Canadian Man Slain Outside Starbucks

Paul Stanley Schmidt was stabbed in front of his three-year-old daughter and fiancée outside a Starbucks in response to asking a stranger to stop vaping in front of his toddler. The stranger, identified as 32-year-old Inderdeep Singh Gosa, was filmed brutally attacking Schmidt and leaving him to die. Schmidt’s fiancée, Ashley, who saw the horrific slaying unfold, was shocked as her soon-to-be husband died; witnesses and bystanders did nothing to help. According to her, not one person in the shop or outside would even assist her in calling for help. Only when Paul was in ‘dire straits’ did somebody flag down a local police officer, who arrested the suspect and charged him with second-degree murder. “Hate Has Consequences”: Trans Activists Call Nashville a Dual Tragedy 

The Trans Resistance Network (TRN) responded with a statement on Twitter Tuesday, calling the Nashville school shooting that killed six “not one tragedy, but two.” After briefly extending apologies to the victims and their families, the statement pivoted to the killer – Audrey Hale, who identified as transgender. The statement described Hale‘s death as a “more complex tragedy” because the shooter may have felt “he had no other effective way to be seen than to lash out by taking the life of others.” TRN wrote that the “virtual avalanche of anti-trans legislation” has resulted in life for transgender people to be “very difficult.” They added that this “hate has consequences,” which is speculated to refer to the mass murder of three nine-year-olds and three adults. The group threatened the media, reminding the news media to “respect the self-identified pronouns of transgender individuals who come across your desk.” The investigation into Audrey Hale and the mass murder is ongoing. Deadly Fire at Migrant Center Kills At Least 39

Almost 40 people were killed, and dozens more were injured after migrants set fire to mattresses “as a form of protest” over possible deportations, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López said. Authorities believe the fire was caused by a protest initiated by some of the migrants sheltered at the center, "after we think, they found out they’d be deported,” he said. Dozens more in “delicate-serious condition” were sent to four nearby hospitals. Firefighters, police, and rescue teams responded to the deadly fire at a facility in Chihuahua State, not far from the Santa Fe International Bridge and across the border from El Paso, Texas. Ciudad Juarez is a major crossing point for migrants attempting to make the journey across the border to the United States. Nashville Killer Identified as Biological Woman, Trans Man 

The mass murderer who shot her way through a side door, killing six at The Covenant School in Nashville, TN, has been identified as Audrey Hale. The 28-year-old identified as transgender and recently began using he/him pronouns. Hale formerly attended the school, although details are unclear when and for how long, according to police. Hale, who wielded two assault rifles and a handgun, shot and killed three 9-year-olds, Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, along with three faculty members, Cynthia Peak and Mike Hill, both 61, and school head Katherine Koonce, 60. Two police officers shot and killed Hale just 14 minutes into her killing spree. In a search of her home, police discovered detailed maps of the school along with a manifesto. The Covenant School is a Presbyterian school for about 200 students from preschool through sixth grade. The school has roughly 50 staff members. Pennsylvania Chocolate Factory Explosion Leaves 7 Dead 

An explosion at R.M. Palmer Co. chocolate factory in West Reading, PA on Sunday left seven dead and ten more injured. Investigators have not determined what caused the explosion, which occurred Friday afternoon. West Reading is about 60 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The sixth and seventh bodies were recovered late Sunday as rescue crews continued to sift through the wreckage for more victims, although the chance of finding survivors is decreasing rapidly. "I want to assure you all that we will not rest until every single person affected by this tragedy has been accounted for," said Wayne Holben, West Reading police chief. Suspect Identified in Colorado School Shooting

Following a shooting that took place at East High School in Denver, Colorado, Wednesday morning, police believe they found their potential suspect. Austin Lyle, a 17-year-old student of East High School, is believed to have been the gunman and was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a remote area of Park County, 50 miles southwest of Denver. Before the fate of Lyle was known, residents in the county were issued a shelter-in-place order at the beginning of the search. Prior to the shooting, Lyle had a known track record with school officials for being a potential threat. 22 Million Pounds of Trash Pile Up on Paris Streets 

Over 10,000 tons, or over 22 million pounds, of burning trash currently line the streets of Paris amid sanitation worker protests. Tuesday marks the 16th consecutive day of protests since President Emmanuel Macron raised the general France retirement age from 62 to 64 and 57 to 59 for garbage collectors. Workers have since stopped collecting trash, leaving piles of garbage to rot on the Paris streets. Protesters have since begun to burn the trash. While Macron argues that raising France's retirement age will make the country's pension system financially sustainable for the future, polls show a majority of French people oppose the legislation. The bill will face a review by the Constitutional Council before it can be signed into law. New Intelligence Confirms COVID-19 Likely Originated from Lab Leak

A classified intelligence report concluded that a lab leak in Wuhan, China was most likely the origin of the Covid pandemic. The revised report, which was conducted by the U.S. Energy Department, differs from the original report, which said that an outbreak at a seafood market in Wuhan was the source of COVID-19. Although both the Energy Department and the FBI believe an accidental lab leak is the most likely source, their reasonings varied. 43-Year-Old Gunman Kills 3, Injures 5 At Michigan State University 

The suspect is dead in a mass shooting at Michigan State University that left three dead and several others in critical condition on Monday night. All of the victims are students. An alert was sent at 8:31 p.m. Monday, telling students to "run, hide, fight" with a report of shots fired at Berkey Hall and at the MSU Union. The gunman, 43-year-old Anthony McRae, was found off campus. He died from what police say was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
