Recent Poll Puts Trump Way Ahead of DeSantis in GOP Primary

As anticipation of the 2024 Presidential Election heats up, preliminary polls are starting to surface. Emerson College most recently released a poll showing Trump towering over the crowded 10-way GOP field. Although Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hasn’t formally announced a presidential bid yet, he’s actively preparing for a likely campaign and currently polls in second. Trump and DeSantis are the only two contenders to break double-digits: Trump with 55 percent of the vote and DeSantis with 25 percent. Additionally, in a hypothetical general election matchup, Trump beats Biden 46 percent to 42 percent, according to the poll. While there’s no way to predict the 2024 outcome so early on, we can confidently predict that the Republican primary will be crowded as GOP leaders continue to toss their hats in the ring; most recently, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. Majority of Voters Have Less Money During Biden Presidency

By this point, most people are aware of the financial woes brought onto the American public during the Biden presidency. However, some people may still be shocked to find how widespread the problem actually is. A recent poll conducted by Fox News released Sunday unveiled that nearly 60% of registered U.S. voters claimed that they now have less money in their pockets than they did a year ago. President Biden Has His First 2024 Democratic Challenger

Self-help author, spiritual guru, and former 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson announced her plans to run for president again. “I wouldn’t be running for president if I didn’t believe I could contribute to harnessing the collective sensibility that I feel is our greatest hope at this time,” Williamson told the Medill News Service in an interview. Williamson is the first Democrat to publicly announce plans to challenge Biden. She recently said it is time for Democrats to move on from Biden. She will make the official announcement on March 4th. Dubbed the CEO of Anti-woke, Ramaswamy said that his campaign is “about the unapologetic pursuit of excellence in our country. It means you believe in merit; that you get ahead in this country not on the color of your skin but on the content of your character and your contributions.” Ramaswamy has a true “American Dream” story as the son of immigrants who lifted himself up by his own bootstraps to become a successful entrepreneur and is now a candidate for the presidency. It is no secret that liberal stronghold states like California and New York have been hemorrhaging population for years, but numbers tracking the movement of people during the COVID pandemic has highlighted the exodus even more. Prior to 2020, states like New York were already becoming despised by longtime residents for hyper-leftist positions on crime, homelessness, mass immigration, and social policies. It appears that in addition to the pandemic exacerbating these issues, it also freed up many residents to a work-from-home schedule or gave them the opportunity to change jobs altogether. New remote flexibility gave New York residents the freedom to relocate and relocate they did. A study by the Los Angeles Times reported that during the pandemic, New York state lost nearly 530,000 residents, more than California even. Sen. Tim Scott to Join 2024 Presidential Race Soon

Another big name appears to soon be making a splash in the Republican race for the 2024 presidency, and that is South Carolina Senator Tim Scott. Scott and his advisors had recently hired friend and former Colorado Republican Senator Cory Gardner to spearhead Scott’s new super PAC in a move many experts see as trying to push the potential candidates' name on a national scale. When questioned about a potential run, Scott’s senior advisor, Jennifer DeCasper, was quoted as saying: “[He is] excited to share his vision of hope and opportunity and hear the American people’s response.” Scott is expected to speak Thursday in South Carolina at a GOP Black History Month dinner, one day following Nikki Haley’s run announcement. After the 2023 State of the Union address, the President has been using his podium to scare Americans into believing that Republicans are ready to cut Social Security and Medicare. However, according to many big-name Republicans, this is false and absolutely not on the agenda. Biden’s State of the Union Address Under Shadow of China, Debt Tensions

President Biden spent the weekend and worked into the afternoon on Monday at Camp David, preparing his State of the Union address with top senior advisors. This comes at a time when tensions with China rise after shooting down their spy balloon and as Biden battles with Republican lawmakers over debt and spending limits. Biden is expected to ease away from those concerns during his speech and instead intends to focus on testing potential 2024 campaign pitches. These include an assault weapons ban, abortion rights, and a tax hike on wealthy Americans in a “strong contrast” to trickle-down economics. Biden expects to pitch these ideas as “a conversation with Americans” while depicting conservatives as “extremists” who are “out of touch with Americans.” Read More
