On Tuesday night, LeBron James broke the NBA’s all-time scoring record, originally held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Needing 36 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron scored 38 points, bringing his career total to 38,390 points scored. Breaking Kareem’s record was a feat that many believed to be impossible to reach. The game was paused with 10.9 seconds remaining in the third quarter to honor LeBron, with a tribute video being played on the big screen. Tom Brady Calls It Quits

Tom Brady announced his retirement Wednesday morning in a video on his Twitter. This decision ends a storied 23-year career, encompassing seven Super Bowl victories and numerous NFL records. This time, he claims the retirement is “for good” after falsely retiring last year. Brady spent his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowls. A string of strange calls against the Bengals in the AFC Championship Sunday night has NFL fans furious over the officiating in the second half. Officials seemed to give Kansas City a fourth-quarter do-over while the game was tied 20-20. It appears an error involving the clock operator led to them giving a “mulligan” after the play. "We're basically having a do-over here, guys," CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore explained during the broadcast. This, along with a number of questionable flags called on Cincinnati and missed calls by the referees, has left the Bengals and the entire NFL world stunned, furious, and demanding change by the questionable officiating. NBC News Attacks Tony Dungy Over LGBTQ Views

After tweeting out a debunked news article last week about a school that was claimed to be providing litter boxes in bathrooms for students that identified as cats, Tony Dungy quickly apologized for the incident. However, that wasn’t enough for the NBC News LGBTQ section NBC Out, which promptly published a report citing the NFL coaching legend’s Christian faith and past tweets to support the idea of his supposed “bigotry”. NBC Out demanded Dungy issue an on-air apology on the NBC Sports Network, where he is currently employed. While they have been unsuccessful in their efforts thus far, Dungy continues to remain steadfast in his conservative values, recently appearing at the March for Life Rally in Washington, D.C., just a week ago. NFL and Players Association Updating Concussion Protocol

After Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's head and neck injury on September 25th, the NFL and the players union have announced stricter concussion protocol. Under the new protocol, players will be unable to compete if they are experiencing ataxia after a concussion.
