Another weekend of violence in Chicago was marked by more than 19 people being shot, some fatally, as many residents panicked over the continuous lack of serious policy to address violent crime in the city by Democrat mayor Lori Lightfoot. Saddening, horrific weekends of murderous crime are becoming all too common in the Windy City. One of the deadliest weekends came recently during the New Year’s holiday, where at least 47 people were killed on January 1st, 2023 alone.
