A mother pushing her 3-year-old daughter in a stroller was attacked by a crazed, knife-wielding woman wearing a blonde wig in Brooklyn on Monday night. The mother suffered multiple stab wounds during the attack but is said to be recovering and in good health at a local hospital; the daughter was unharmed. Police have posted surveillance photos of the alleged perpetrator and are asking for the public’s assistance in securing her capture. Unprovoked crime is becoming too familiar in cities like New York as Democrat leadership perpetuates soft-on-crime policies that leave violent criminals on the streets and innocent people in danger.

NY DAILY NEWS: Suspect in custody in unprovoked Brooklyn stabbing of mom shielding daughter in stroller from attacker in blond wig

A person of interest is being questioned in the unprovoked stabbing of a Brooklyn mom who shielded her 3-year-old daughter from the attacker in a blond wig, a police source said.

A tipster pointed police to the woman and she is now being questioned at the 84th Precinct stationhouse in Downtown Brooklyn, the source said.

A picture of the suspect holding her blond wig in her hand was released by the NYPD earlier Thursday.

Police said the attacker, while wearing the wig, confronted the 36-year-old mother near Jay and Tillary Sts. about 3:30 p.m. Monday.

‘Why are you looking at me?” the stranger asked the mom, according to a second police source. “I’m gonna stab your kid!”

When the mother stepped between her daughter and the attacker, the stranger whipped out a knife and plunged it into the mom’s chest, police said. The mother was also stabbed multiple times in both legs before the assailant ran off north on Jay St.

The daughter was not hurt.

Medics took the mother to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
