
NYT Analyzes Biden’s Mental Competence
This weekend, an article in the New York Times wrote about Biden’s mental competency and, of course, had nothing negative to say. The report called Biden “ ‘sharp,’ ‘fit’ and having ‘striking stamina’" after his fall onstage at a graduation ceremony on June 1st, and then hitting his head onboard Marine One, his helicopter, shortly after. Critics found this article as “embarrassing,” “slobbering,” and simply untrue. Many were quick to note that Biden has appeared in front of the camera significantly less than both of his predecessors, maintains a light schedule of meetings and engagements centered in the middle of the day, and, when faced with the media, rarely takes questions from reporters, which both Democrats and Republicans use as reasoning for a replacement in the White House.
